Creating a better tomorrow through character building and community service

Boys II Young Men is a mentoring program designed to target young males between the ages of 8 to 12 years of age.  The primary objective of this program is to provide our youth with positive role models, advice, support, and expectations that will shape them into goal oriented, independent men in the future.  At Boys II Young Men, we believe that in order to create future change, we must first change the thoughts and actions of our children today.

The mission of this program is to instill P.O.W.E.R. (Purpose, Order, Wisdom, Empowerment, and Wisdom) in the kids that participate:

Giving away toys to families who are less fortunate
We partnered with Roy's Kids to give toys to families who are less fortunate or who experienced life altering events leading up to Christmas.

Feeding homeless people in Shreveport
We asked the community to come together to help us with this project, and they did, in spectacular fashion. We received donations of food and toiletries which a large group of volunteers sorted, packed, and delivered to Providence House, Rescue Mission, and the Salvation Army.

Planting flowers at the fairgrounds to prepare for the Louisiana State Fair
For the past few years, Boys II Young Men has volunteered to help prepare the Louisiana State Fair by digging and planting flower beds to beautify the fairgrounds before the start of the annual State Fair.
